January 28, 2021 – Lee County held the public hearing for the Big Carlos Bridge Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study
October 21, 2021 – Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016, and executed by FHWA and FDOT, granted Location and Design Concept Acceptance for the project
February 21, 2023 – Board of County Commissioners Approve Contract
June 2023 – Anticipated Construction Start*
Spring 2026 – Estimated Construction Completion*
